ACPO Road Death Investigation Manual
A new version of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) Road Death Investigation Manual (RDIM), which UK police forces use as the basis for their investigation of Fatal and Serious crashes was released to UK police forces at the end of 2007. The Transafe Network recommend that ALL UK businesses should familiarise themselves with the manual and consider the implications for their organisation if one of their staff were involved in such an incident.
In January 2008, as the document was not yet publicly available via the ACPO website, the Transafe Network (by agreement with the National Policing Improvement Agency) made the document freely available for UK companies.
Although the document is now available via the ACPO site, you can still receive a free electronic copy of the document by clicking on the link below.
